Xia Jing Shan is considered the first Buddhist Art Maestro Across Centuries as he builds up cotemporary Buddhist art. His intent conforms to traditions which trace back to Tang and Song dynasty. The exhibition includes selective masterpieces of Xia Jing Shan. Meanwhile, with multimedia technology, Xia's aesthetics can be displayed in both dynamic and static styles. 書畫藝術名家夏荊山被譽為「跨世紀佛畫藝術第一人」,畫藝直追唐宋,是為打造當代佛畫藝術的傳奇巨擘。本次展覽包含夏荊山書畫各系列精選名作,如佛、觀音、羅漢、達摩、鍾馗、山水人物,細膩豐富,莊嚴華美。

Xia portrays Zhong Kui in unusual ways that are more in touch with the human side. Incorporating some elements of realistic Gongbi brushwork, the ink expressions are complimented with ingenious color applications. Xia portrays Bodhidharma’s features and skin with exquisitely refined brushwork, and often employs expressionistic brushwork to depict his robe.
